Yo Glen! According to the Magellan, site maps are avail. for US, Canada, and Europe. Tony is from Downunder!!!! My suggestion is to buy a cheap Garmin and put in your own waypoints.

: Recently I purchased a Magellan Meridian Platinum, without the
: mapping software. It's a handheld model. It comes with major
: highways (state and Interstate) and airports and other points of
: interest in the built-in memory. I'm happy with it. You can get
: cheaper GPS recievers, but you have to pay more for more
: features. This particular GPS can accept additional memory in
: the form of a SD card. Also, you can buy topographic maps and
: upload them to the memory card from your PC. The PC interface
: cable comes with it. I got it at www.thegpsstore.com for $329
: plus shipping. You can also compare other models there, even if
: you don't purchase from them.

: Hope this helps some...
